Choosing the right Domain Name for your Business
Picking up a great name for your company is very important. Having a good domain name as well as well researched a business idea can go a far way in creating an overlasting business brand.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind while buying a Domain Name
*Research for shorter names
*Research names with higher search on search engines
*Make sure the domain name is short, easy to spell and easy to pronounce.
* These days, an online business strategy is just as critical as your "offline" strategy. Think about company names that fit the plethora of domain extensions out there; but even more importantly, check with domain registries or resellers (www.GoDaddy.com, www.Jollyjo.com) if the business names along with the domain extensions are available;
* If you are hooked on a particular domain name, very likely the name along with the Dot-Com has been taken. In such a case, consider purchasing the name on the secondary make such as top level domain names .travel name.Visit www.travel.travel to get your Domain name! do not wait too long.
* Consider names that are more in keeping with the nature, positioning and type of business (such as Sole Trader, LLC, etc) being contemplated;
* Ask for an opinion about the domain name to your family or trusted friends and business partners.
* Check the Internet or other resources to check on trademarks;
* Make sure you check to ensure that potential domain names or close alternatives have not already been registered;
* Once you have decided what domain name you should buy, make arrangements to have the name officially registered. Normally the names can be reserved for set period of time. The domain name version of the company domain name should also be registered as soon as possible to avoid losing out to another registrant.

Muy buen articulo. No sabia que el termino .travel existia. Algo que puedo añdir es que hay diferentes sites que facilitan la busqueda de dominios sin tener que ir directamente a la pagina del vendecor del dominio. Comment by Shadow J on Abr 13, 2010
